Apply for Hurricane Helene Relief Grants

For eligible churches in the PC(USA) Presbytery of Western North Carolina, disaster recovery grants are available.

The deadline for our next round of funding applications is August 8th.

Another round of funding is anticipated with an application deadline of November 1, 2025

Please check the Presbytery newsletter for other details, but importantly, since this August application is late in being posted, please let us know if you need more time.

The Presbytery of WNC has disaster recovery funding available for churches in the Presbytery. Other applications may be invited, but in general, this is designed to come through requests from churches only.

There are three categories of funding (below), and all applicants will be required to fill out a form that provides us with key pieces of information relevant to your application. The intention is to make the process as smooth and easy as possible and to allow for fair and rapid decision-making as well as efficient delivery of funds. Churches may apply for funds in more than one category.

The three categories of the current round of funding are:

  • For repair to churches that have incurred damage attributable to Hurricane Helene.

  • To provide direct relief for members and neighbors who have been severely affected by Hurricane Helene.

  • To cover costs of providing housing and resources for work teams that provide direct relief to churches and communities affected by Hurricane Helene.
